DENISON, TX, March 22, 2017 – EMS, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Arrow Material Services that provides fixed and mobile cleaning services to customers in the transportation and manufacturing sectors, has obtained exclusive North American rights to use TerraHydroChem, Inc.’s (THC’s) proprietary chemistry to clean railcars for leasing, repair and scrap companies, as well as shippers. THC’s natural cleaning fluids reduce downtime and disposal costs, as well as disposal amounts of water, solids and oils, and worker exposure to chemicals.
“TerraHydroChem’s unique chemistry and powerful product formulations are transforming how EMS services rail car tankers more cost-effectively and sustainably than ever,” says Todd Hull, EMS’s Chief Commercial Officer. “It’s a methodology we intend to standardize throughout Arrow’s North American cleaning operations for railcars, barges and above-ground storage tanks.”
“We are very pleased to have formalized a strong and mutually beneficial partnership with EMS through its rail car cleaning business,” adds Don Neville, THC’s CEO. “Our distribution contract with EMS represents a major step forward for THC, and this relationship offers attractive growth potential for both companies. THC looks forward to collaborating further with EMS and its parent company, Arrow Material Services, to expand EMS’s use of environmentally friendly cleaning products throughout the United States and Canada.”
TerraHydroChem’s products are blended with plant-based constituents, making them safe, non-toxic and bio-degradable. Test results have shown TerraHydroChem’s cleansing formulations and associated application runoff routinely produce “non-detect” readings. Performance at this level sets a new standard upon which the hydrocarbon industry can rely, particularly when it is striving to comply with or exceed today’s stringent environmental standards. THC products formulated specifically for rail car cleaning include Rail Car Cleanse™ (RCC), a blend of organic derivatives that desorbs surface contaminates, and Rail Car Solvent (RCS-100).
